Design and Analysis of Information Systems
Objectives
Being a key resource in todays organizations, information needs to be managed.
Because, altough it is all around us, information is not free: there are
costs associated with its production, distribution, maintenance, security,
storage and retrieval.
In determining the success of a business to position it competitively,
strategic use of information should not be taken for granted. Information
systems should be well planned and designed, after a through analysis of
needs and alternatives available to satisfy these needs.
This course aims to highlight issues related to data gathering, analysis,
design, implementation and evaluation in developing information systems.
Organization of the course
This postgraduate course lasts for one semester and consists of 3 credit
hours.
